About Redrow

Redrow was founded in 1974 by a then 21-year-old Steve Morgan with a £5,000 loan from his father. In the 1980s, we expanded from civil engineering to private homes with our first new development, Alafowlia Farm, in Denbigh.

By the early 90s we’d established ourselves as a leading housebuilder across the UK with the launch of the award-winning Heritage Collection, which has continued to be updated and refined through the years. The collection combines Arts & Crafts inspired exteriors with modern, open-plan interiors.

In 2018, we handed over the keys to our 100,000th home and celebrated the landmark of investing £2.7 billion into community infrastructure. 2022 saw Redrow become one of the first house builders to implement the New Homes Quality Board’s new code of practice and a year later we became the first large housebuilder to introduce air source heat pumps to our homes.

2024 was a milestone year for us as we celebrated our 50th anniversary and became part of Barratt Redrow plc.
