At Redrow East Midlands, currently building new homes at Chantry Mews in New Lubbesthorpe, we have boosted the Epworth Forest Football Club Under 9 Lionesses team this season by providing them with a brand-new kit.
As the fastest growing girls’ football club in Leicestershire, with more than 150 players, Epworth Forest FC supports junior players to be active and learn key life skills by taking part in a team building sport in a community environment. It has recently been named as official sister club of the Leicester City women’s team.
Ryan O’Sullivan, Sales Director for Redrow East Midlands, said: “Epworth Forest FC plays a key role in the community, and we are proud to support their Under 9 Lionesses team as part of our commitment to building thriving communities.
“It's wonderful to see everyone's enthusiasm; we'll be following them throughout the season and wishing them every success in their upcoming games!”
Simon Harrison, Lionesses Manager, said: “We'd like to express our thanks to the Redrow East Midland’s team for their support – we're delighted to have them as our sponsor.
“We have a fantastic group of girls who we are incredibly proud of, and they all deserve to feel a sense of pride every time they go onto the pitch. Having a new kit has helped the squad to kick off the season in style – we’ve had a great start and I'm sure our fantastic new kit will play a part in our success moving forward!”
The donation forms part of Redrow East Midlands’ Community Fund, which will see the housebuilder donate £5,000 to local organisations throughout 2024.
Just 15 minutes from Leicester city centre and surrounded by 325 acres of new parklands, Chantry Mews forms part of a wider new community, New Lubbesthorpe, which will feature 4,500 new homes – in addition to health facilities and local shops. The area is also set to include community benefits such as two new primary schools and a major new secondary school.
