Zarach was started in 2017 in Leeds by deputy head teacher Bex Wilson has expanded into the North West offering its services to families in need in Liverpool.
Zarach’s ‘Every Head a Bed’ project provides bed bundles to families in need, which includes a new bed, mattress, bedding and pyjamas.
As the charity expands its services our team at Redrow Lancashire have pledged to donate funds with every new show home bedroom opened in Lancashire.
The donation was handed over to Zarach’s CEO Andy Peers during the launch of new show homes at Grace Fields at Hilton Grange in Halewood.
The donation means Zarach’s partnership with Redrow across the North West and Yorkshire has now generated over £15,000 of funding for the charity, which in real terms is 100 bed bundles.
Andy Peers, CEO of Zarach said: “The continual and expanding support we receive from Redrow is a glowing example of Corporate Social Responsibility in action.
“The seeming simplicity of this initiative – a donation for the cost of a bed bundle per bedroom in the show homes on a new development – is a wonderful example of how a business can link their core business to supporting a linked charitable cause.
“It's because of Redrow’s continued support that we can work to reach more and more of the estimated 900,000 children across the UK living in bed poverty. We cannot pursue our mission to end child bed poverty without this kind of support and, for this, we are immeasurably grateful to Steve Jackson and his teams for their dedication to Zarach and the children and families we reach.”
Steve Jackson, sales director for Redrow Yorkshire, said: “We continue to support and spread the word about this wonderful charity amongst our colleagues and residents here in Lancashire.
“The team at Zarach work hard to provide a much-needed service to children and families. We are really pleased to continue our pledge offering support again with this donation.”
Grace Fields at Hilton Grange features a wide selection of three, four and five-bedroom properties, all from Redrow’s award-winning Heritage Collection.
Together Grace Fields at Hilton Grange and neighbouring development The Finches at Hilton Grange will provide a new community of over 600 homes to form part of the significant East Halewood Sustainable Extension, a masterplan to build high-quality new homes for the area.
