Attendees to the event, held at our Colindale Gardens development in North West London, can enjoy an array of food offerings ranging from crepes to pizzas, Lebanese food and even an ice cream van. There will also be live entertainment on throughout the day including musical performances and an Indian dance troupe, as well as face painting, bubbles and arts and crafts activities for children.
The event is being organised by the Colindale Gardens Social Committee which aims to provide activities that build a harmonious and happy community. Since being formed in 2020, the committee has been organising activities and events such as yoga classes, the Colindale Gardens Moon Festival and annual Diwali Festival. They have also created several clubs for residents to join such as their Family Club, Tree and Gardens Club and Board Games Club.
Kamal Hersh, Chairman of the Colindale Gardens Social Committee, said: “Organising communal activities like these are essential for creating a sense of belonging and community. These events enhance social interactions, strengthen community relationships and contribute to a supportive environment.
“Over 20 residents have volunteered their time to make this year’s Summer Fair happen and it should be the best one yet! We’d also like to thank the Church of England – Diocese of London for their volunteers and Colindale Gardens team for their generous donation towards the event and for helping us to facilitate such a great way for residents and the local community to get together.”
