This year Santa and his chief elf have received an extra gift with a donation of £250 worth of treats to distribute during their rounds.
Santa’s annual tour of Congleton, which began on November 24, will run until December 22 spreading festive cheer.
“We inherited the sleigh from Congleton Roundtable 261 in 2015, establishing Congleton Christmas Collection as a new charity,” said Paul Johnson.
“It is run by myself and four other volunteers who organise routes and collections across Congleton. Each night we collect for a local good cause. Last Christmas we visited over 10,000 houses and raised over £10,000.
“Thank you to the team at Redrow for this very kind donation.”
We are currently building at nearby Round Hill Gardens, located on Manchester Road. The development will eventually include 454 new homes in a wide selection of two, three, four and five-bedroom properties, split across two outlets Woodlands and Blossoms.
Anna Evans-Kerr, sales director at Redrow North West, said: “We are really pleased to offer our support to Santa and Congleton Christmas Collection. The volunteers do a great job keeping this tradition going. We send them all our festive cheer for this year’s rounds.”
