Anna Evans-Kerr, sales director at Redrow NW, said: “We’ve done a number of community funds in the Woodford area since we started building Woodford Garden Village and always have a great response in terms of applications. With just £5,000 to share the panel had tough decisions to make but we tried to share the funding so that a diverse range of projects would benefit.”
Beneficiaries of the new fund include:
- Friends of the Valley PTA
- 1st Woodford Rainbows
- 1st Bramhall Scout Group
- C C Gymnastics
- Woodford Primary School PTA
- Just Drop-In Youth Info and Support Limited
Ann Wright, chief officer at Just Drop In, said: “This donation helps support our wider work to support children who are finding life hard and living in the north of Cheshire East, the contribution to resources from Redrow is most welcome.”
Occupying the former Woodford Aerodrome site, the development is situated on the southerly tip of Greater Manchester and offers a readymade community with a host of amenities on the doorstep, including its own pub and a primary school, plus a wealth of green spaces and play areas, parks and meadow areas.
