As our nominated charity for 2024/25, Llamau is working to eradicate homelessness for young people and women in Wales. Founded in 1986, Llamau has now supported over 100,000 young people, women and children who are facing or experiencing homelessness.
Our team of 16 has now spent four days completing the garden makeover, clearing and turfing the garden for young people who use Llamau’s supported accommodation facility. Several of our suppliers have supported the project including Rapid Grid, MKM, Gwent Gardens, Interfix and Ecoefficiency.
Denise Kennedy is Corporate Partnership Manager for Llamau. She said: “Homelessness is a frightening reality for far too many people in Wales. We work with businesses across Wales to deliver partnerships that are mutually beneficial and that genuinely change the lives of homeless young people and women. We really appreciate the support of the Redrow team as their fundraising and time will make a real difference to those who need our service.”
Catherine Lock is Assistant Project Manager for Redrow. She said: “Supporting local communities is central to what we do at Redrow. It’s why all colleagues actively participate in fundraising and give their time to volunteer for charities like Llamau. It’s so rewarding to see how much of an impact we can have.”
