Previously living in a two-bedroom flat in Royal Arsenal, they sought more space and a better quality of life for their growing family yet needed to stay close enough to the city to be able to commute into work.
After searching for the best place to take their next step, in March 2024 they moved into The Fordwich, a three bedroom home at Stonehaven Park in Ebbsfleet, where they’re already enjoying the growing community and peaceful natural surroundings.
Rodica explains the family’s move: “Stonehaven Park was ideal- not just for the extra space, but for its location. Being close to a lake and surrounded by nature gives our children a much better quality of life we just couldn’t find in the city.”
Sergiu shares his wife’s enthusiasm for the move: “As a family, we wanted to ensure we had a home that supported our needs. Stonehaven Park stood out for its thoughtful design and the sense of community we could see emerging here.”
Both Rodica and Sergiu have hybrid jobs, splitting their time between home and London offices. With St Pancras less than twenty minutes from Ebbsfleet Station by train, commuting has been straightforward and stress-free. Their new home’s spacious design has also allowed them to set up dedicated workspaces while maintaining a balance with family living.
“The bedrooms are incredibly spacious allowing us to create comfortable work areas for both of us, something we couldn’t have imagined in our London flat.” Rodica says.
Also important to Rodica and Sergiu’s decision were the benefits of new builds, especially the energy efficiency and low maintenance features of our homes. Rodica explains: “The house retains heat so much better than older properties we’ve lived in, making it warmer and more cost-efficient. It’s a real relief knowing we’re saving on energy bills.”
Stonehaven Park has proven to be more than just a home for Rodica and her family- it’s a thriving community. As one of the first families to move in, Rodica is excited about the development’s potential: “We’ve seen the development take shape around us, and it’s been lovely watching the community grow. It’s a perfect forever home, with plenty of space for our children to thrive.”
With nearby schools, abundant natural surroundings, and easy access to amenities, Stonehaven Park offers the perfect setting for modern family living. Part of the larger Whitecliffe development at Alkerden Village, Stonehaven Park combines convenience, community, and contemporary design.
Four bedroom homes at Stonehaven Park start at £521,000.
