Redrow South Midlands, currently building at Hedera Gardens on Hampshire Road, made the contribution to Buntingford Senior Citizens’ Club as part of its annual community fund.
Now in its sixth year, the initiative supports organisations across the county with donations to help them continue to thrive and offer services to their local communities.
Buntingford Senior Citizens’ Club supports dozens of seniors across the area and plays a crucial role in providing fun and companionship for those aged 70 and over. The club has been running for more than seven decades, with members meeting every Monday for coffee, good conversation, a game of bingo and a raffle.
Our donation has been used to plan a special day out in celebration of the club’s 75th anniversary later this year.
Linda Dean, Secretary at Buntingford Senior Citizens’ Club, said: “We’re extremely grateful for this generous donation and for making our 75th anniversary celebration possible. Everyone is really looking forward to the outing – thank you, Redrow.”
Andrew Newman, Sales Director at Redrow South Midlands, said: “We’re delighted to be helping the club keep seniors socially active and connected with one another.
“Here at Redrow South Midlands, we understand the importance of bringing communities of all ages and backgrounds together, and this grand day out is a wonderful opportunity for seniors to enjoy good company, great food and hopefully some nice weather too.”
