Walton Lea Partnership provides learning opportunities for people with learning difficulties. It received a share of our £6,000 community fund, linked to Daresbury Garden Village, to purchase craft items and materials that will be used during their sessions held at Walton Hall.
The charity creates learning opportunities for young people and adults that help the development of life skills, the understanding of complex information and interaction with their peers, volunteers and visitors.
Sharon Harris, operations director at Walton Lea Partnership, said: “We offer our learners a range of horticultural, upcycling and recycling projects, as well as retail and leisure activities, woodwork and crafting activities. The donation from Redrow has helped us to further broaden opportunities for our learners, enabling them to continue to thrive and enhance their self-esteem. The craft items were identified by our learners as items that will enhance their experience at the Walton Lea Partnership so we’re very thankful that Redrow has helped fund this.”

The sessions we’ve helped fund widen learning opportunities for the young people and adults who take part and will empower them to make informed life choices.”
