Now in its sixth year, Redrow South Midlands’ Community Fund aims to support local organisations across Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire, with donations to help them continue to thrive and offer services to their local communities.
The Valentine Club supports 100 seniors in the rural communities of North Oxfordshire and plays a crucial role in providing companionship and reducing loneliness among those aged 65 and over.
Our donation has been used to host a special celebration at Steeple Aston Village Hall, complete with a two-course meal and live entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
Richard Preston, group organiser at The Valentine Club said: “We’re extremely grateful to Redrow South Midlands for this generous donation and for making our annual celebration possible. Many of the group’s seniors live alone and don’t have family nearby, so this meal is always a highlight of their year – thank you, Redrow.”
Andrew Newman, Sales Director at Redrow South Midlands, said: “We’re delighted to be helping The Valentine Club reduce isolation in elderly members of the Oxfordshire community.
“Here at Redrow South Midlands we understand the importance of bringing communities of all ages and backgrounds together and this event was a wonderful opportunity for seniors to enjoy good company, great food and live entertainment.”
