Redrow South West, which is currently building new homes at Blundell’s Grange in Tiverton, has presented Amicus Health with a donation of £500 as part of its community fund initiative.
The fund, which launched last year, aims to help local organisations with specific donations and give them the tools they need to continue to thrive, with local causes invited to apply for their share of a £10,000 pot.
Amicus Health is the largest GP practice in Tiverton and was formed in 2017. They provide outstanding care to over 18,000 patients.
With the donation they have created a space to help children and families feel more comfortable when they visit the surgery, with the addition of a cheerful playhouse corner at Clare House surgery.Kensa Harris, Practice Manager at Amicus Healthcare, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to receive the playhouse. We pride ourselves on being a family-orientated practice. The playhouse will provide a safe and engaging space for children to play while they wait, making visits to the surgery less stressful for both parents and children. By creating a more welcoming environment, we hope to enhance the overall experience for our patients and strengthen the bond between families and their family doctor, helping reduce anxiety, especially for our younger visitors.”
Sian Smith, Sales Director at Redrow South West, said: “We’re committed to creating thriving communities and are proud to support local charities and organisations in the South West with the valuable work they do."
“Amicus Health GP practice are an important part of the community, who provide fantastic care to each of its patients. We are proud to have helped provide a wonderful new area that will benefit many families who come in and out of the surgery every day.”
